In the early 90s, BMW introduced the Z3. While this was a fun car to drive, it could have been made to be even more fun to drive. And so the engineers at BMW gave the Z3 M a 3.2 L, inline 6 cylinder engine, 5 speed manual transmission, limited slip differential and upgraded suspension. The car was given the nickname “Clown Shoe” due to it’s unique shape that literally looks like a clown’s shoe from the side.  Only 6,291 Z3 M cars were made during the 5 year production run from 1998 to 2002.
