In 1989, The first Acura NSX was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show. In 1990, the NSX went on sale in North America for the first time resulting in 1,119 vehicles sold in the USA and 156 sold in Canada. The naturally aspirated 3.0 liter, V6 engine was mid mounted and produced 270 horsepower. The first generation, also known as the NA1/2, was produced from 1990 to 2005. The second generation, also known as the NC1, was produced from 2016 – 2022. The NC1 was offered with a 3.5 L twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 3 additional electric motors producing 573 horsepower.
