From 1997 to 2001 Honda produced the 5th generation Prelude. The most noticeable change was the re-introduction of a modernized square body, paying homage to the 1st through 3rd generation models. This model was also larger than all of the previous generations of Preludes. Technology upgrades included Honda’s Active Torque Transfer System – which unfortunately, ultimately led to a negative impact on sales due to it’s lack of reliability. Aside from that, the 2.2 liter inline 4 cylinder engine produced 200 horsepower, 156 feet of torque and is a blast to drive! Today, the 5th gen Prelude is still such a treat to see out in the wild!
